Fiona Marley has worked in the NHS for over 30 years. She is responsible for commissioning 80 highly specialised services at NHS England: these are services that have small patient caseloads, and which are typically delivered in small numbers of expert centres. This approach ensures that patients have excellent clinical outcomes, equitable access to services regardless of where they live and access to research-active healthcare organisations. She is committed to ensuring expert services are in place to deliver innovative treatments, including ATMPs. She is passionate about involving patients and patient organisations in commissioning services.
