Kym Winter has been a psychotherapist for over 25 years. She has been working with the rare disease community since 2013 including those diagnosed with genetic and non-genetic NENS. She is the Founder and CEO of Rareminds (www.rareminds.org) a charity based in the UK which is solely dedicated to supporting the mental health and wellbeing of those impacted by rare, genetic and undiagnosed conditions. In partnership with patient organisations, Rareminds delivers counselling services, workshops and psycho-educational resources to patient communities, as well as consultancy to organisation leaders, industry and healthcare professionals.
