Elvira Martínez has been working on Advocacy and Institutional Relations at the Spanish Federation of Rare Diseases -FEDER- for over two and a half years.

Involved in diverse ways and as a contact point for alliances such as EURORDIS, RDI or ALIBER, her main focus is to reinforce advocacy linking both at local and regional or international levels to improve policies on rare diseases. She, therefore, links the work at a Spanish level to the goals at a European, Global or Iberoamerican level in a comprehensive way, leveraging pushing to achieve and leverage milestones as the recently approved UN Resolution.

Since she joined the organisation, she has coordinated projects like the Foresight Rare 2030 event in Spain and key campaigns at the European level, like the #30millionreasons campaign at the local level.

With a degree in Journalism, previous to joining FEDER she has developed her career in institutional relations and multilateral events, communication, protocol and journalism between Madrid, Paris and Brussels.
