Dr Wout Feitz is a Pediatric Urologist and researcher in the field of paediatric urology science and has studied in the scientific fields of urology, tissue engineering and biomaterials, data and biobanking, medical instruments and devices and European Networks. Wout is the coordinator on behalf of the Radboudumc for ERN eUROGEN (www.eurogen-ern.eu) currently involving 56 Health Care Providers from 20 EU Member States, expanding till European geographical coverage is reached. The unique combination of basic research and clinical expertise is essential for the speed of progress and development of new future applications and innovative solutions for urological clinical problems. The collaboration with different companies will lead to more knowledge and insight in the medical industry production processes and practical solutions in order to reach future EMA and Ethical Committee approved patient applications. Since 2009, Wout has been the Program director of the training program for Pediatric Urology for the European Paediatric Urology Fellowship Program and was a board member of The European Board for Paediatric Urology (EBPU: Joint Committee of Paediatric Urology) of the EUMS. Wout is the mentor of different student programs of the EUSP and EBU-EAU Host Centre in the field of Paediatric Urology. He is the leader of the Reconstructive and Regenerative Medicine research programme theme at the Radboudumc Institute for Molecular Life Sciences (RIMLS, www.rimls.nl, Radboudumc). He is also the contact person for the Radboud Expert Center for Rare Diseases for Pediatric Urology and related research program concerning congenital anomalies of the Urinary Tract which involves the epidemiological and genetic aspects of congenital Urinary Tract Anomalies with the Orphanet recognized network of the Radboudumc AGORA Data and Biobank. The Radboud Pediatric Urology Centre is registered at Orphanet as centre of expertise and has the approval of the Dutch Ministry of Health as a recognized expertise center for rare congenital urogenital anomalies. The expert center for congenital urogenital anomalies is part of the European Reference Network (ERN) eUROGEN of which Wout is the current coordinator and HCP representative in the Board of the ERN.
