Julia is parent to a child born with esophageal atresia (EA) and tracheoesophageal fistula.
As a result of this experience she became involved in patient advocacy through the national support group Tracheo-Oesophageal Fistula Support (TOFS UK).
In the past year Julia has also joined the EAT board (Esophageal ATresia Global Support groups). She has helped to develop the ‘CAN EAT’ Care And Nutrition in Esophageal Atresia animation based on the ERNICA EA consensus guidelines.
