Marie-Christine Ouillade is the mother of a girl affected by SMA. She is a member of AFM TELETHON Board of Directors and GENETHON a non-profit pharma company funded by AFM TELETHON for more than 20 years now. AFM Telethon is a neuromuscular patient organisation in France.
She is also member of the board of SMA Europe a large umbrella organisation of SMA patients advocating for improvement of access of best standards of care and new treatments in Europe?
She participates to some international organisation as TREAT-NMD Executive Committee or IRDIRC.
In 2020, with SMA Europe, she created SMA NBS Alliance to promote new-born screening .for SMA in Europe, she is now the chair of the executive committee of the organisation.
