Monika has been involved in Dystonia Europe since 2007, first as the President of the organisation, and from 2013 she is the Executive Director.
For ten years she was a board member of the Swedish Dystonia Association. She is currently Vice President of EFNA – European Federation of Neurological Associations, and the patient representative on the board of Boston Scientific Foundation and in the European Reference Network – Rare Neurological Diseases.
Monika has cervical dystonia since 2001. She has four daughters and nine grand-children. Her main hobbies are to go for hikes in the nature, gardening, knitting and baking.
